And the server has now been updated to 1.12.1. Since I already updated java for the previous version, this was easy :).

Updating to 1.20.6
The server was updated to 1.20.6! It was a bit of a hassle as I had to figure out how to update java on a Debian 12 server as natively it only goes up to vs. 17. And MC now needs a higher version of java. But it works now, thanks to this reddit post.
Spiggot is also running along with Dyn map and backup plugins!
Update to 1.20.4
There was a minecraft hotfix, which has now been deployed on this server as well!
Minecraft 1.20.4 is a hotfix release for Java Edition which fixes a critical bug that could cause items to vanish after being stored in a Decorated Pot.

Minecraft 1.18.1
The server was updated to 1.18.0. Then the Log4j bug thing happened and we got a new 1.18.1 release pretty fast there after and I updated the server asap!
Anyway, it is running vanilla 1.18.1 now !

Minecraft 1.17
The vanilla server on zimmy99.org is now running MC 1.17 ! It uses a new version of Java (java 16). So i had to figure out how to update that. Other than that the download went smoothly, although I had to use the link to the server.jar from the article below. The official site still has 1.16.5.
